I say goodbye, he says hello.

My pot of Gold, not his pot of Gold. However much I love my Passat it is time to get a truck for the Boy. He deserves it. He's been driving the Beast of a Land Cruiser for years (don't be mislead he loves the Cruiser). But we grow up darn it. So we will get him Toyota Tachoma and me a mystery machine.

CREATE

One of our pass times is to just spend time in the office. It is the creative mecca center of our house. I love to watch the projects the kiddo's come up with in here.

Who say's recycling is any fun?

Why should you recycle these glasses when you've already paid top dollar for the 3-D show? Especially when you can look so cool with your kootie catcher. Steve took the girls to see "Up." I don't know what was better, watching the movie, or just having time with Dad. The girls are lucky to have such a fun Father. He's a keeper.

Make my Day

We love downtown Grand Junction. Art decorates the streets and corners with over 100 sculptures from local artists. We have our favorite shops but there is always something new. Yesterday while purchasing a sprite for Rylee's sore belly, the restaurant owner insisted we have it for free. Made my day.

Silly

Ashley is sporting her new "blond betty boop" look. While Rylee masquerades as a Senior(ita?) requesting the use of our "ah" bathroom in the middle of the night with our neighbor Kaitlyn.

paul+veronica=sam

One of my greatest privileges is playing hostess to Paul and Veronica during their adoption process. Just last week Sam arrived, what a joy. We are so grateful to share this segment in his life. He's a beautiful baby. Thank you Paul and Veronica for letting us share this with you. You are beautiful parents.

18 Road Baby

This is how we fly up 18 road,
Then down Kessel Run.

Saturday the Weber's (my sister and kids) had their first ride. Ashley, Rylee and Alli rode like a bunch of banshees down Kessel. Kids logic is a funny thing - they thought they could find us by riding further down the trail. Finally caught up with them to find Ashley mad as ... she threw her bike down, took her helmet and Camelbak off and threw them to the ground with a bright red face she screamed. "Where were you? I'm mad I am so mad mad mad. I screamed your name." "I couldn't hear you sweety," I said with a smile. "But, I screamed your whole name CHRISTINE LEANNE MARTIN!" After calming her I asked her if being angry helped. She quickly replied "YES." She told me she was "Never, EVER going biking again." Good thing she doesn't hold grudges. The following Wednesday night we headed back to Kessel only to run 3 shuttles down - she had a blast.
